AI grooming reminder and rebooking calls for Singapore groomers
Grooming runs on a cycle, and the cycle is the whole business. Rekindle makes the call when a pet is due, and hands you anything that sounds like a worried owner.
How do AI calls work for a pet grooming business?
A voice agent calls clients when a pet is due for its next groom, usually around six to eight weeks after the last visit, offers the slots you have open, and confirms bookings made for the next day. Every call is recorded with a structured outcome. Anything about a pet's health, behaviour or a previous visit that upset them is a restricted topic and goes to you the same day.
This is a reminder about a service the client already uses, which is the cleanest lane to start in. A campaign aimed at winning back clients who stopped coming is a different conversation with a different consent basis.
What pet groomers spend the phone on today
-
Regulars who quietly stop rebooking and are never chased
-
The phone ringing while both hands are on a nervous dog
-
Empty slots on a quiet weekday nobody had time to fill
-
Booking confirmations sent and never actually confirmed
What your version of this call would do
A blueprint, not a finished script. In production every flow is designed with you: objective, approved wording, voice, outcomes, escalation and restricted topics, then tested before it calls anyone real.
- Context:
- Outbound · grooming-due reminder · clients around six weeks since the last groom
- Voice:
- Friendly, gentle, reassuring
“Hi [name], a quick courtesy call on behalf of [Groomer]. It has been about six weeks since [pet]'s last groom, which is usually when they are due. Would you like to book [pet] in?”
| The caller says… | The agent responds | Outcome recorded |
|---|---|---|
| "Yes please." | Lovely. I have Saturday 10am or Sunday 1pm. Which suits [pet]? | Booked |
| "How much is it, same package?" | The groomer will confirm the exact price when you come in. Shall I hold the slot for you meanwhile? | Interested, slot held |
| "Maybe later." | No problem at all. Shall I check back in a couple of weeks? | Callback later |
| "Last time [pet] came home stressed." | I am so sorry to hear that. I will have the groomer call you personally about it today. | Escalated |
| "Stop calling me." | Of course. You will not get these again. Take care of [pet]! | Opt-out |
What this agent will never do
No advice on a pet's health, coat, behaviour or whether a breed should be clipped. Any distress, injury or complaint about a previous visit goes to a person immediately, never to a scripted reply.
Service call to an existing customer
A reminder or confirmation about something the person already booked, or is an active customer of. The PDPC lists service calls and reminders about services the individual has bought among the Do Not Call exceptions: the cleanest place to start.
Questions pet groomers ask
What happens if an owner is upset about a previous groom?
The agent stops, apologises, and arranges for you to call them personally that day. It does not explain, defend or offer anything. A complaint about an animal is the last thing that should meet an automated reply, and it is written into the workflow as a hard rule.
Can it take the booking, or only ask?
It can offer the slots you have open and record which one the client wants, so the conversation ends with a real answer rather than a promise to call back. Whether it writes that straight into your booking system depends on which system you use, and is scoped before anything goes live.
Is a grooming reminder a marketing call?
A reminder that a service the client already uses is due generally reads as a service call rather than marketing, but the purpose and the wording decide it, not the label. Your business assesses its own position and its Do Not Call obligations, and we build the workflow to match.
How does it handle someone asking to stop?
Immediately and without argument. The number is suppressed from that workflow permanently and is not called again by it.
